Term Dates & School Day

Term Dates for this academic year (2019-20) can be found below. For the following academic years (2020-21 and 2021-22), please click on the link to the left or open the PDF available below. It is important that parents/carers take note of term dates as holidays taken during term time will not be authorised and each parent/carer may recieve a fixed penalty notice from the Local Authority for each child absent from school for this reason.  For further details of attendance procedures please view the policy in 'Our School' section.  Absence from school, other than sickness, must be approved in writing by the Headteacher - you can request a form to ask for consideration of pre-planned absence from the school office. Medical appointments should be made outside of school hours where possible, although we appreciate this is often out of a parent/carer control.

DEAR (Drop Everything and Read)

Maths and English are predominantly taught in Sessions 1 and 2 which are optimal learning times.

As staff cannot take responsibility for the safety of children before or after school hours, the children should not be on the school premises unaccompanied before 8:45 am or after 3:40 pm, unless specific requests have been made, or the child is taking part in an after-school activity. We appreciate your consideration and support.
