WELCOME TO SUMMER TERM 1

Welcome back to Term 5 in Rockingham. We hope you had a fantastic Easter break filled with lots of fun and memories made!

Our theme this term is ‘Intriguing India’. We have been planning lots of exciting lessons and activities for Year Two. Knowledge Organisers will be available for both our theme and for core subjects  sent out on Dojo. These are a really useful tool to find out what the children are learning alongside the 'Theme plan' for parents attached further down.  Please do encourage your child to regularly review these at home - it is important that they all learn and understand this knowledge and have further opportunity to discuss it with you at home as will help them to be able to verbalise the knowledge they are learning. If you require a printout provided for you - just let us know!

Our KIRF for Maths this term is attached below. The children are really enjoying the songs. We are also working on fractions!

We will be keeping parents up to date with our learning developments and giving general messages and reminders out on Class Dojo so do remember to check in frequently. 

Rockingham Class will be taught by Mrs Eve and Mrs Want who will be teaching on the following days: 

• Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday PM & Friday AM - Mrs Eve
• Thursday AM & Friday PM – Mrs Want

Reading is a big focus in Year Two, we ask that you read with your child at least 4 times a week and record these in their reading record.
