An introduction to governance of Ryhall CE Academy
From 1st October 2014, Ryhall CE Academy became a sponsored academy and a member of the Peterborough Diocese Education Trust (PDET).
There are two layers of governance of Ryhall CE Academy:
The Peterborough Diocese Education Trust Board
The Ryhall CE Academy Local Governing Body

The Board of Directors is responsible for overseeing the business of the Academy Trust, i.e. finances, HR, payroll, estate strategy as well as setting strategic direction. The Board of Directors meets every term.
Ryhall CE Academy Local Governing Body
Membership of the Local Governing Body (LGB) will comprise the following Governors:-
2 elected parents (4 years)
Up to 2 elected Staff Members (4 years or until employment ceases if sooner)
2 Foundation Governors (4 years)
Those as may from time to time be co-opted with the express approval of PDET (4 years)
The Local Governing Body meets six times per academic year. In addition there are three main committees that meet regularly. They are:
1. Curriculum Standards (CUR)
2. Church School Standards (CCS)
3. Finance, Personnel and Health & Safety (FPHS)
