Belton (Yr 1)
Welcome back to Term 3!
Belton Class is for Year 1 children and is led by Mrs Jagger (Mon-Weds) and Mrs Ross (Weds-Friday). We are supported by Mrs See (TA) and Mrs Want (HLTA).
Our theme for Autumn term 3 is 'Africa’, We will be exploring the similarities and differences in the world we live in to that of children living in Kenya. Looking at animals that roam in their natural environment and where in the world is Africa. We have been in contact with a charity 'Send a cow' who will be coming to visit us and share ways we can help others as part of our compassion theme. If you have any African artefacts, photographs or stories please bring them in to share with Belton Class.
We will develop our communication skills using the camping tent role play area and develop our independent learning by completing our Rainbow challenges.
Alongside our theme we will explore how to become reflective learners by asking ourselves what we have learnt each week and how we hope to improve.
Belton class PE is on a Tuesday and Wednesday. However, we do ask that your child's named PE kit is in school every day, including trainers and outdoor kit as well as a change of socks. Thank you.
Our RE theme this term is ‘Judaism in the family'’.
Please do come and see us if you have a concern about your child and we will do the same. There will be opportunities to look at their learning and progress along the way and we will keep you up to date using Class Dojo so please make sure you sign up.
